The Nottingham and Notts Fuchsia Society was formed in 1971 by a group of keen amateur gardeners in Nottinghamshire who all had an interest in the cultivation of fuchsias. This group develoed and expanded and quickly became affiliated to the British Fuchsia Society (BFS) and the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
The aims of the Society have always been "to encourage others with similar interests in the fuchsia and to promote all aspects ofthe cultivation and exhibiting of fuchsias". To this end our more experienced members and guest speakers are always willing to share their knowledge with anyone who is interested.
Why not come along to one of our monthly meetings and see for yourself.
If you enjoy the experience you would be most welcome to becomea mmber. You will find details of our monthly meetings (which often cover subjects other than fuchsias) on the 'Meetings' page or contact anyone on the 'Contact us' page for more information.
Although we do not have a specific section for junior members, anyone under the age of 16 years is most welcome to come to any of our meetings. In our annual show we also have classes for juniors who can join the Society free of charge.
Membership benefits include a monthly Newsletter and Free fuchsia cuttings in the sping.
